About

Taking the First Step

You may find yourself repeating patterns you understand but still struggle to change. Maybe you feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected from yourself, stuck in difficult relationships, or unsure of what you need or want. Sometimes you simply know that something isn't working anymore. Therapy can provide a place to slow down, sort through what is happening, and begin making sense of what you want to change. I work with adults experiencing complex and childhood trauma, attachment wounds, addiction, codependency, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with advanced training in trauma-informed and somatic approaches. My work recognizes the ways past experiences, relationships, beliefs, and coping strategies can continue to influence how you see yourself, relate to others, and respond to challenges today. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and direct. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), attachment and relational approaches, relapse prevention and recovery-oriented strategies, and other evidence-informed interventions based on your individual needs and goals. Therapy may involve identifying patterns, challenging beliefs that are no longer helpful, strengthening boundaries and communication, developing coping skills, and gaining a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. I believe you already have strengths and capacities that can support change. My role is not to tell you who you should be or to “fix” you. Instead, we work together with honesty, curiosity, and willingness to understand what is keeping you stuck, recognize what is within your control, and develop healthier ways of responding that are more consistent with the life you want to build. Finding the right therapist matters. Before scheduling an intake, I ask all prospective clients to complete a brief 15-minute consultation. This gives us an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy, discuss what you are looking for, answer questions about my approach, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit. If you think we may be a good fit, you are welcome to reach out by email, phone, or text to schedule a consultation, or select the “Request an Appointment” button to get started.
